Accommodation is either in hotels or in the Student Halls of Residence. All hotel reservations should be made directly through the hotels by email, quoting the conference code for that hotel (codes for booking hotels can be found on the conference registration form). Student Halls of Residence should be booked through the local organizers when registering for the conference. The student halls of residence are across the street from campus. There are bus services between the city centre, where all the hotels are located, and the university. Buses run approximately every 20 minutes during the day, and less frequently in the evenings. If you are more than three travelling between the university and the city centre, it would almost be cheaper to take a taxi. Please note that we cannot guarantee any accommodation after May 12th - there are two other large conferences in Oulu during the same week and they are short of rooms. Preliminary room reservations have been made at the following hotels: The recently-renovated Radisson SAS hotel is located in the city centre, on the seashore next to the marketplace, approximately five kilometres from the university. Please note that Hotel Lasaretti is closed for Midsummer and will not open until June 23rd. It is situated across the street from the railway station and only a couple of minutes walk away from most of the shops and restaurants. These are flats with 2-4 single bedrooms with a shared kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are simply furnished. Sheets and towels will be provided. The flats are not serviced. The rates per room are: € 150 for Tuesday, June 24th through to Monday, June 30th. Additional nights are € 10 per night. In addition to grocery stores, there are only a few fast food restaurants in the area around the university. Most delegates will probably want to eat in the city centre in the evenings. There are bus services between the campus and the city centre.
